Donna Zanjanian

Donna Zanjanian is a psychotherapist practicing in New York City for over the past 15 years. She has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with interpersonal difficulties and in need of crisis intervention, with a focus on relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and addiction and recovery. Donna's practice embodies an eclectic approach to healing by incorporating multiple schools of thought, particularly Relational Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), embracing a holistic viewpoint that addresses issues of the mind, body, and spirit. Donna also treats chronic illnesses, a set of conditions which frequently underlie overt difficulties with coping and emotions.
Donna's private practice includes individual counseling for adolescents and adults, couples counseling, as well as family counseling.
Donna is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology/Mental Health and Wellness from New York University's Department of Applied Psychology. She also holds a Master of Public Health from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts from the George Washington University where she studied and majored in both Religion and Science. Donna completed the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Education and Training and holds a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) certification.
Donna is a member of the American Mental Health Counseling Association and American Public Health Association. She is also a board member of the Razi Health Foundation, a charitable organization assisting individuals in need of medical assistance who cannot afford treatment or have been affected by natural disasters both domestically and abroad. She is also a volunteer Therapist for Physicians and Nurses on the frontlines that are experiencing trauma and crisis throughout the COVID-19 pandemic through Caring for Caregivers NYC.
